Fun at the beach!

Here is Mommy and David having a fun day at Humarock Beach. We spent the day with our good friends the Crowes. David loved splashing in the waves and making castles in the sand. David spent so much time in the water and was soaking wet and covered with sand. He got a little cold and needed to snuggle up in the towel. The weather was wonderful and the sun was a little hot.... as proved by the sunburn on Mommy's back!!

Happy Birthday Bingy!!

This year Bingy turned the big 6-0! We celebrated by taking her out to a girls dinner at Maggiano's in town. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time. David had the best time of all and he didn't even leave the house. David loves his birthday celebrations and more importantly loves the cake that comes along with it. He will be your best friend on your birthday as long as he can sit with you, sing to you and help you blow out the candle. Here he is helping Bingy with hers...

David didn't think anyone was paying attention and was scraping the frosting off the edges... a kid after my own heart!

Happy 4th of July! (A few days late...)

So here we are getting ready to head out to Cate and James 1st 4th of July parade! David isn't too happy because all day long he had been asking about going to the parade and seeing the fire engines, cars and drums. The Norwood parade isn't until 5:30pm which is a very long time for a 2 year-old to have to wait... and an even longer time for mommy and daddy to have to listen to it!!

David spent the majority of the parade with his hands over his ears because of the loud noises. There were lots of fire engines, guns and cannons. I wanted to cover my ears too!

Daddy and Cate chilling out at the parade. Nothing seemed to bother her at all. As long as she was being held, she was extremely happy and laid back.

James in his 4th of July bib. James didn't like the parade so much. He cried at the loud noises, Bingy had to walk him around for quite a bit! When he gets older, David can teach him the hand over the ears trick that Nana taught him!

Swinging away

We decided this year we would invest in a swingset for the backyard. Let me tell you this decision was not an easy one. I feel like it took 2 months to make the decision of where to go and then which style to get, etc. Well it was worth all the work. We got our swingset last week and David loves it!!! He can't wait to tell everyone who comes over and has to run outside to show them. So if your in the neighborhood stop by for a swing, David would love to take you on a tour!
