Baptism Day

Yesterday we baptized our precious babies, Catherine and James. It was a very special day and meant so much to our family to have our children become part of the church. Cate and James behaved wonderfully and looked so beautiful in their gowns. James wore David's christening gown and Catherine wore one made from my wedding dress. The pastor of St. Catherine's performed the service, Msgr McRae (my grandmother would have been very proud that they were baptized by the Monsignor). We were surrounded by our families and very dear friends, the day could not have been more perfect. Here is a picture of all of us, the babies, mom and dad and godparents. We had quite the crowd, as Monsignor said, we had a double header!
Thank you to everyone who helped to make it such a special day. Especially to our cherished godparents, we love you all and are so happy you are a special part of our babies lives!

Music with Daddy

There are many reasons why I love my husband and why I think he is such a great dad. One of the things I love the most is how he interacts with the kids, David in particular. They talk like two friends having a cup of coffee together. They mostly talk about music, listen to it together and play their guitars. Daddy comes from quite a musical family and is passing this on to our children. This is something I will be forever thankful to him for, even if I don't always agree with the music choice or the volume.... David has become a big fan of 311, The Police, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and of course The Wiggles (the last one, not at all by Daddy's choice!!). Here is a cute shot of the two boys doing what they love to do together, listening to music. David had just finished his bath, which is why they are in the bathroom :)

I am in Heaven! We have been working for the past 2 weeks to try and wean Cate and James from their 2am feed. Well last night they ate at 7:30 and slept til.... drumroll please..... 6 am!!!! I am prepared that this may be a one time deal and may not be the norm right away. But now I know that they can do it! It is time for them to move to their own room!!
